Celebs ride the ‘Shark Week’ craze on Discovery

“Shark Week” lies on the horizon — normally a good indicator that it is July in the planet of television.

This calendar year, Discovery’s yearly programming slate, now in its 33rd calendar year, airs/streams over 45 hours of all-points sharks (and then some) from Sunday, July eleven to Sunday, July eighteen, such as exceptional specials on discovery+.

Here’s a seem at some of what’s coming up, such as celebisodes showcasing Tiffany Haddish, William Shatner, JB Smoove and “Stranger Things” star Noah Schnapp. These all air on Discovery, besides the place famous.

Sharkbait with David Dobrik” (July eleven on discovery+). The YouTube star and his buddies go diving with some actually underwater beasts.

Crikey: It is Shark Week” (July eleven at 8 p.m.) Robert Irwin (“Crikey!: It is the Irwins”) goes diving with conservationists Paul de Gelder and Madison Stewart.

Tiffany Haddish Does Shark Week” (July eleven at nine p.m.) Haddish is joined by Dr. Toby Daly-Engel, Dr. Craig O’Connell and Alanna Vellacott, ostensibly to “uncover the top secret of shark sex sailing on the fanciest yachts…” Great luck with that.

Tiffany Haddish will take the plunge in her “Shark Week” specific.

Jackass Shark Week Specific” (July eleven at 10 p.m.) Steve-O, Chris Pontius and new forged associates do shark stunts and check myths in regular “Jackass” fashion.

Stranger Sharks” (July 12 on discovery+). Schnapp teams with YouTube science guy Mark Rober to check out undersea ruins and person-produced artificial reefs.

Expedition Unknown: Shark Trek” (July 12 at 10 p.m.) Discovery host Josh Gates will take William Shatner shark diving — a first for the 90-calendar year-previous showbiz legend.

MotherSharker” (July 13 at 8 p.m.) If only for its title. A group of experts check out the place tiger sharks give delivery, applying an arsenal of state-of-the-artwork technology.

Brad Paisley’s Shark State” (July 13 at nine p.m.) Paisley and comic JB Smoove journey to the Bahamas to learn about sharks. Hijinks ensue.

Tiger Queen” (July fourteen on discovery+). Examines the shark population in Turks and Caicos, which has a sizable concentration of female tiger sharks. Hosted by Kinga Philipps and Dr. Austin Gallagher.

The Authentic Sharknado” (July fourteen at nine p.m.) “Sharknado” stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering see if a serious Sharknado can happen. Hey, you never know.

Dr. Pimple Popper Pops Shark Week” (July 15 at 8 p.m.) Dr. Sandra Lee goes to Turks and Caicos to check out the planet of shark pores and skin and its apps to human pores and skin concerns. Or anything.

Sharkadelic Summer season two” (Thursday at nine p.m.) Snoop Dogg breaks down crazy shark encounters for the 2nd consecutive calendar year.

Ninja Sharks: Mutants Climbing” (July 16 at 8 p.m.) Catchy title as a group of experts look at a few sharks in historic shipwrecks off the coast of North Carolina who’ve designed “unique and fatal ninja expertise.” We’ll see.

Mystery Of The Black Demon Shark” (July 16 at 10 p.m.) Adventurer Forrest Galante travels to the Baja Peninsula to get a glimpse of the famous “El Domonio Negro,” a 50-foot shark that is terrorized fishermen and visitors for several years. But does it actually exist?

I Was Prey: Terrors of the Deep two” (July 16 at eleven p.m.) Two survivors discuss about surviving horrific shark assaults (are there any other sort?) — and not getting underwater snacks.

Rogue Tiger Shark: The Hunt for Lagertha” (July seventeen on discovery+). There’s an intense beast lurking in the waters just off the coast of Costa Rica. A group of experts check out its behavior.

Return to Shark Vortex” (July seventeen at 8 p.m.) This one will take position in the icy New England waters and involves new footage and insights into the “phantom shark” — and which associates of the species reigns supreme.
