Cineplex offers slate of films for Black History Month, partners with The Black Academy

Cineplex says it will donate $one from every single film procured in its Black Heritage Thirty day period selection to The Black Academy, an business that aims to showcase Black talent and has identified as for company and govt sponsors to move up with guidance.

Toronto-elevated actor-brothers Shamier Anderson and Stephan James co-launched The Black Academy in early December as a long term, 12 months-spherical operation to combat discrimination and systemic racism.

The business is also planning to launch an awards exhibit to celebrate and uplift Black talent throughout Canada in the latter half of 2022.
