COVID-19 outbreak declared at second Lower Mainland poultry-processing plant

For the 2nd time this 7 days, an outbreak has been declared at a foodstuff-processing plant in the Lower Mainland.

Fraser Health introduced today (December seventeen) that it has declared an outbreak at the Rossdown Purely natural Meals poultry-processing plant at 2325 Bradner Highway in Abbotsford.

So considerably, nine workers customers have examined favourable.

Nonetheless, Fraser Health said that it has determined that it isn’t needed for this facility to shut down at this stage but public health and fitness is continuing to watch for additional conditions as situation management and call tracing continue being ongoing.

Yesterday (December 16), Fraser Health said that it shut down Wingtat Sport Hen Packers in Surrey. As of December 16, 30 workers customers had examined favourable. The business had introduced on December eleven that it had briefly shut immediately after a number of staff members examined favourable.

Mass tests of all workers customers is underway. 

Equally B.C. provincial health and fitness officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and the Canadian Food stuff Inspection Agency have beforehand said that there isn’t any evidence suggesting that foodstuff is a transmission resource or route for the virus.

Accordingly, hen products and solutions are not currently being recalled from both facility.
