Dancing legend Labba Labba has died.

The ‘elder statesman’ in the dancing globe, handed away at the age of seventy five at his household in Trench Town, Kingston on Sunday.

Labba Labba, who was admired by late dancer Gerald ‘Bogle’ Levy, was recognised for dances he created when performing with Elephant Gentleman, Beenie gentleman, and Bogle himself.

Owning retired, he was termed on from time to time to share his knowledge with pupils at various dancehall open lectures.

Associates of the dancing fraternity including Orville Xpressionz and Shelly Tummy have posted tributes to Labba Labba. 

“I termed him out in February 2020 Reggae Thirty day period celebration in Emancipation Park,” Orville mentioned in an IG post, alongside with a online video of him recognising Labba Labba at the party. 

“He would arrive to stop by me at my studio regularly. I talk about him on my journey close to the globe. The elder statesman, a person of the architects of our loaded dancehall dance history. He is Labba Labba. R.I.P you are now an ancestor. We will rejoice your everyday living.” 

“R.I.P #LabbaLabba mi fam ur recollections live on, u were a fantastic gentleman,” Shelly Tummy posted to social media, alongside a ten-2nd online video with him and Labba Labba.
