Ruggiero joined the cast of Degrassi as fan-favored Marco Del Rossi in 2002 just after to begin with auditioning for Craig (“When in question kiss Craig?!”), turning out to be the show’s initial homosexual character and had one of the initial LGBTQ+ kisses on Canadian tv in 2004.
