Dr. Bonnie Henry gets her own funky two-tone shoe from designer John Fluevog as COVID-19 fundraiser

They’re two-toned pink with Mary Jane straps and a chunky heel, featuring the text “be sort, be tranquil, and be safe.”

The shoe style’s name? The Dr. Henry.

In a situation of one icon providing props to a further, legendary Vancouver designer John Fluevog has launched a limited-edition shoe in honour of B.C.’s now-popular provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry. In the spirit of “We are all in this alongside one another”, 100 percent of presales will go to support Food stuff Banking companies B.C.

The new design and style will join Fluevog’s ongoing Operetta Relatives of models.

Henry herself is no stranger to the brand, stepping out in Fluevog kicks for many of her appearances, significantly to the social-media delight of her legions of lovers.

Constantly tranquil and collected, she’s attracted praise through the crisis, even spawning a social-media “Bonnie Henry Fan Club”, where followers have known as her “erudite, truthful, candid”, and “an unbelievable chief and absolute badass”.

Early in the pandemic, Calgary-dependent vogue brand names SophieGrace and Madame Premier collaborated on a limited-edition T-shirt emblazoned with a stylized impression of the reassuringly calculated health official.

Her facial area also graces a new mural in Gastown as portion of a venture by local artists and organizations to celebrate the heroes for the duration of this crisis.

You’ll be in a position to jump on the presales later on this thirty day period.
