From the time she was 3, Leanna knew what her cousin did to her system behind closed doorways was wrong. Still, his impressive threats retained her from telling any person. At the age of 6, she finally tried to inform her mother, but the shocking response induced Leanna to shut herself off from her mother and to continue to be silent about the ongoing abuse. Another Boy or girl is director Leanna Borsellino’s try to unravel a bewildering maze of emotion, faith, sexuality, and top secret spouse and children history to understand why her mom failed to safeguard her from her abuser.
When Leanna finds a hidden box of her mom Cyndi’s letters and photos, she discovers critical clues into Cyndi’s motivations. Cyndi is frank about her possess traumas, and it conjures up a contemporary commence for them each. Now a team, Leanna and Cyndi set out across the state to rediscover their real selves. Visiting the scenes of every of their sexual abuse experiences, they relive with each other the memory of individuals traumatic occasions.
