Iconic SA star Shaleen Surtie-Richards, 66, has died

Actor Shaleen Surtie-Richards has died. She was sixty six.

According to a report by Netwerk24, the actress was observed lifeless in a guest dwelling in Cape City on Monday.

“She’s been battling with her well being lately. She’s had difficulties with her lungs and has struggled to breathe, but the cause of her dying is not still known. She was in Cape City to movie scenes for the kykNET telenovela, Arendsvlei,” actress Lizz Meiring advised the publication.

Shaleen was ideal known for her title job in the 1988 movie Fiela se Kind and as Ester Willemse in the M-Internet soap opera Egoli: Place Of Gold.

She was born in Upington on seven May well 1955 and qualified as a kindergarten trainer, training among 1974 and 1984. With a vocation in theatre, movie and Tv spanning close to forty a long time, Shaleen participated in both of those the Grahamstown and Edinburgh festivals.
