Canada-based mostly, worldwide tv community, FEVA Television – an acronym which stands for 1st Amusement Voice of Africa – jetted into the island past weekend to shoot two episodes of We Exterior, a music display which will highlight artistes in the Caribbean, Africa and the United States.
Working with the UDC vehicle park as their venue, FEVA TV’s crew rolled in on Sunday early morning to established up. Jamaican artistes on the line-up are Pamputtae, Razor B, Twani, Renegade and Donna-Lee from Atlanta. Host of the two demonstrates is Yanique ‘Curvy Diva’, who could perhaps double as artiste and emcee.
CEO of FEVA Tv Robert Onianwah, a black-aware Canadian-Nigerian, advised The Gleaner that his community is Canada’s to start with 24-hour black television and it focuses on the ABC market place – Africa, Black and Caribbean. It is aimed at individuals who value black and African entertainment, and the programming groups consist of movies, songs, comedies, dramas, documentaries, and communicate exhibits
“We are in this article to shoot two episodes of our exhibit named We Outdoors. Hopefully, we are coming to the conclusion of the lockdown everywhere, and we are hoping also that this COVID pandemic is driving us. So it’s a way to celebrate, so that the children can liberate on their own from all the lockdowns. This is the pretty very first two episodes, and the subsequent port of phone will be Trinidad, the place we will concentrate on soca music. This exhibit is a way to highlight the regional artistes and give them global publicity and recognition,” Onianwah shared.
The network’s boss now enjoys a relationship with Jamaica, which he shared, “is our base right here in the Caribbean” and the island which hosted their 2014 launch. The channel is accessible on both equally Movement and Digicel, and with FEVA Audio now about to turn out to be a truth, Onianwah is hoping to expand his Caribbean market place.

He extra that it was critical to separate the channels in get to highlight extra severe content and important social concerns.
“We will need severe black content we do not need track and dance all the time. We want to focus on the George Floyds we want black people to take things severely and we do programmes that empower them. If you want to preserve dollars to buy your initial household, we want to have a monetary programme that can show individuals how to do that. If you are diabetic, how do you deal with your well being? We are a black station. We really do not make any bones about that. We are not pretending that we are not. We are extremely Pan-Africanist, so our position is to teach, notify and entertain black people,” Onianwah declared.
We Outdoors is scheduled to be aired in May.
