James Michael Tyler, actor best known as Gunther on Friends, dead at 59

James Michael Tyler, the actor known widely for his recurring function as Gunther on Friends, has died. He was 59.

Tyler died Sunday at household in Los Angeles from prostate cancer, claimed his manager, Toni Benson. Tyler was very first diagnosed with state-of-the-art prostate most cancers in 2018.

“The environment knew him as Gunther (the seventh ‘Friend’), from the strike collection Buddies, but Michael’s beloved kinds knew him as an actor, musician, cancer-awareness advocate, and loving husband,” Benson wrote in a tribute. “Michael cherished live audio, cheering on his Clemson Tigers, and would normally discover himself in pleasurable and unplanned adventures.”
