Girl Gaga is having candid about being a survivor of sexual assault.
The 35-year-old pop star attendees on the premiere episode of Oprah Winfrey and Prince Harry‘s new Apple Television+ unscripted sequence, The Me You Cannot See, which launches Friday, May well 21 and capabilities conversations about mental health. In the course of her section, Girl Gaga shared specifics from a time when she identified out she was pregnant following nonconsensual sexual intercourse.
“I was 19 several years old, and I was doing work in the company, and a producer said to me, ‘Take your clothing off,'” the Oscar winner recalled. “And I said no. And I left, and they told me they have been going to burn up all of my songs. And they didn’t end. They didn’t end asking me, and I just froze and I—I really don’t even try to remember.” This triggered the performer to split down in tears.
Girl Gaga, who stated she has determined not to name the producer since she under no circumstances wishes to confront him once again, went on to share that the industry is abusive and hazardous. She explained a time several years later on when she went to a hospital for pain and numbness, and she was shocked when the clinic sent a psychiatrist to see her, instead than a healthcare health care provider.
