Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist’s positive COVID test cancels shows

CANTON, Ohio – Lynyrd Skynyrd has pulled out of the Professional Football Corridor of Fame concert after guitarist Rickey Medlocke tested optimistic for COVID-19.

The nation rock band was set to co-headline the concert Monday evening with Brad Paisley but Medlocke’s optimistic check pressured the group’s withdrawal, in accordance to a band assertion.

“Rickey is dwelling resting and responding perfectly to procedure,” the assertion claimed.

Jimmie Allen, who was the opening act, has prolonged his set list to open the exhibit. He performs a duet with Paisley on the latest hit “Freedom Was a Highway.”

The band also suspended reveals in Jackson, Mississippi Atlanta and Cullman, Alabama, with the Aug. 13 exhibit in Atlanta rescheduled for Oct. 23.
