The attorney for R. Kelly reported Thursday the R&B singer, who is awaiting trial on youngster pornography and other expenses, was assaulted by a fellow detainee at the Metropolitan Correctional Middle in Chicago.
Steve Greenberg revealed in a tweet that he figured out of the attack on his shopper Wednesday. Greenberg claims he has received conflicting details on the extent of Kelly’s accidents.
“We have not been supplied any details from the jail, nor has Mr. Kelly referred to as,” Greenberg wrote.
“We are hopeful that he was not severely hurt.”
A spokesperson for the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons, citing privacy and safety reasons, would not validate or deny Greenberg’s report of the attack on Kelly.
