Roselyn Sanchez on her ‘big responsibility’ in ‘Fantasy Island’ reboot

A new incarnation of “Fantasy Island,” is hitting Fox without having the show’s well-known capture-phrase — but with a few new additions, like star Roselyn Sanchez. 

“I was extremely young when it 1st aired,” Sanchez, 48, explained to The Publish. “But in Puerto Rico we had it. It was dubbed in Spanish. I recall the white satisfies and the tales that had been terrifying and so much exciting, and Tattoo likely to ring the bell. So, I was extremely familiar with the strategy. The reboot (premiering Tuesday, Aug ten at 9 p.m.) stars Sanchez (“Without A Trace”) as Elena Roarke, a descendant of Mr. Roarke who’s the new steward of the island. Each and every episode showcases unique guests as they arrive at this enigmatic luxury resort hoping to satisfy their fantasies. 

For instance, in the sequence premiere, Elena welcomes a local morning-exhibit host, Christine Collins (Bellamy Younger) to the island, who wishes to take in without having attaining fat, only to obtain that she receives far more than she bargained for and Ruby Akuda (Kiara Barnes), a female who’s afflicted with a terminal health issues and is given a new lease on lifetime in an surprising way.
