WATCH: Trevor Noah chats about his Grammy nom and becoming friends with Bill Gates

“I never know how this occurred, but I think I’ve turn out to be friends with Monthly bill Gates,” Trevor Noah joked when he sat down for a chat with US comic Ellen DeGeneres on her communicate exhibit. 

We initially obtained a glimpse of Trevor’s interview when Ellen shared a snippet on her Instagram web site on Monday. In that clip, Trevor talks about how he figured out to perform tennis just two months ahead of the Match in Africa party.

The prolonged clip, posted on Ellen’s formal Fb web site for her exhibit, starts off with the two chatting about their Grammy nominations. 

Each Ellen and Trevor ended up nominated for Very best Comedy Album at the 2020 Grammys. Dave Chappelle ended up using the award home.  

Shifting on to his involvement in Match in Africa, Trevor spoke about how Monthly bill Gates invited him to perform in the charity party. 

“I never know how this occurred, but I think I’ve turn out to be friends with Monthly bill Gates. I’ve just fulfilled him many moments, and we’ve had conversations. And then just one day he phoned, and he was like, ‘Hey, do you want to perform tennis with me?’. I was like, ‘Yes’. And he was like, ‘In Cape Town’. I claimed, ‘That’s a lengthy way to go to perform tennis, but yes’. And he claimed, ‘With Roger Federer’.”

The viewers laughed alongside as Trevor stated the difficulties he went through instruction for the match.
