ChloƩ Lopes Gomes suggests she has confronted racial harassment while being a ballet dancer.
The French performer is the very first black woman dancer at Berlin’s principal ballet firm Staatsballett.
Ms Gomes promises she was informed she did not match in since of her pores and skin color, and was questioned to don white make up so she would ‘blend in’ with the other dancers.
The firm has responded by saying her allegation “deeply moves us” and an inner investigation is underway into racism and discrimination at Staatsballett.
