Former US Ambassador to Ukraine to be honored by PEN America

NEW YORK – Marie Yovanovitch, the previous U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine who was pressured out of her job last year by the Trump administration, is being honored by PEN The united states.

The literary and human rights organization declared Monday that Yovanovitch has received the PEN/Benenson Braveness Award, of which previous recipients include Anita Hill and college student activists from Marjory Stoneman Douglas Superior Faculty in Florida. Throughout the impeachment hearings of President Donald Trump, Yovanovitch explained to House investigators that Ukrainian officials had warned her in advance that Rudy Giuliani and other Trump insiders were being arranging to “do points, such as to me” and were being “looking to hurt” her.
