Judge gives control of Joe Exotic’s zoo to Carole Baskin

A United States federal judge has awarded ownership of the zoo made famed in Netflix’s Tiger King docuseries to Joe Exotic’s main rival.

In a ruling Monday, U.S. District Choose Scott Palk granted control of the Oklahoma zoo that was beforehand operate by Joseph Maldonado-Passage — better recognised as Joe Exotic — to Large Cat Rescue Corp.

The Florida group was founded by Carole Baskin, who also showcased prominently in the strike Netflix collection. Maldonado-Passage is now serving a 22-12 months federal jail time period for killing five tigers and plotting to have Baskin killed.

Baskin beforehand sued Maldonado-Passage for trademark and copyright infringements and received a $one million US civil judgment towards him. Palk’s judgment Monday found that ownership of the zoo was fraudulently transferred to Maldonado-Passage’s mom in an attempt to prevent paying out the judgment.

The final decision said the zoo animals have to be eliminated from the house inside 120 days but it does not detail what must take place to them.

Legal professionals symbolizing Large Cat Rescue Corp. did not straight away return messages trying to find comment.

Maldonado-Passage stays incarcerated in Fort Worthy of, Texas. In a handwritten letter posted Monday on Twitter, he recurring his plea for a presidential pardon.
