Downtown Vancouver street upgrade project on Robson Street begins, continuing until autumn 2021

Those preparing to head into Downtown Vancouver from now until finally the autumn need to take note of a design project that will be taking area in a portion of East Robson for many months.

The City of Vancouver introduced right now (March 22) that do the job will start this week on upgrading drinking water, electrical, and street infrastructure on a portion of Robson Street, from Granville Street to Beatty Street.

The project will consist of improvements to intersections, restoration of sidewalks and curbs, repaving, new street markings, and street restoration of Robson Street from Homer Street to Seymour Street.

In addition, an ageing drinking water principal put in in 1947 will be changed with a new just one predicted to past 100 decades.   

B.C. Hydro will also be upgrading its infrastructure in the region.

Drivers in the region can be expecting intermittent street closures, and improvements to parking and traffic.

Throughout design, all organizations and the Vancouver Community Library central department will continue being available.

The do the job will carry on until finally the autumn, with a completion day still to be specified.
