Catherine Zeta-Jones is paying tribute to her father-in-legislation, screen icon Kirk Douglas, following his demise on Wednesday at age 103.
The actress — who is married to the celebrated star’s seventy five-calendar year-outdated son, Michael Douglas — has been close with her father-in-legislation since she and Michael tied the knot in November 2000, frequently sharing sweet pics and tributes to the legendary actor on social media.
In remembering Kirk on Wednesday, Catherine posted a sweet black and white photo of her kissing her father-in-legislation on the cheek. “To my darling Kirk, I shall love you for the relaxation of my everyday living. I miss out on you by now. Slumber tight…” she captioned the pic.
Kirk just celebrated his 103rd birthday back again on Dec. 9, and Catherine commemorated the event with a heartfelt snapshot of the Spartacus star sitting on her knee.
“This man on my knee, is 103!!!!! Content Birthday Pappy!!! I love you with all my coronary heart. 😘❤️” she wrote alongside the snapshot.
Next his demise, Michael verified the news of his passing and compensated tribute to his father in a heartfelt tribute on social media.
“It is with huge sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas remaining us nowadays at the age of 103,” he wrote, in portion. “To the environment, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of motion pictures who lived very well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose motivation to justice and the will cause he thought in established a regular for all of us to aspire to. But to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was only Father, to Catherine, a superb father-in-legislation, to his grandchildren and terrific-grandchild their loving grandfather, and to his spouse Anne, a superb husband.”
