Hollyoaks lover John from Cheshire opened up and spoke to Ashley Taylor Dawson, the actor who plays Darren Osborne in Hollyoaks, on
BBC Radio five Live about how a suicide storyline in the cleaning soap saved their life.
Talking on the five Live Drive programme, 32-year-outdated John thanked Ashley and claimed: ‘If that storyline hadn’t transpired I would not be here. I might be lifeless. That is the reality of it. You have saved my life.”
John was struggling with suicidal feelings in lockdown final year and soon after viewing Kyle’s good friends and family’s response in the aftermath of the character ending his life, it “hit property” and inspired John to open up about their emotions and look for mental health assistance.
“We are not weak, we’re human and it truly is Alright to cry, it truly is Alright to attain out for aid. I just want to thank you mate,” John added.
Ashley Taylor Dawson, whose character Darren was Kyle’s friend in the cleaning soap, claimed: “You know what I obtain exciting about that, John… you’d by now planned it, you’d by now claimed that you had been likely to go in advance with it, and you’d by now assumed about that scenario, but it was truly viewing it remaining performed out.
