‘The Stand’ First Trailer Features a Glimpse at Stephen King’s Iconic Apocalyptic Tale

Premiered at the show’s New York Comedian Con virtual panel, the to start with formal trailer of the CBS All Entry present opens with a scene of the apocalyptic environment exactly where cars and trucks are still left by the proprietors in the street.

CBS All Entry has launched the to start with formal trailer for its forthcoming collection “The Stand“. The Television adaptation of Stephen King’s horror novel of the similar title further provides a glimpse at the legendary tale of light vs. darkness in a publish-plague environment.

Premiered throughout the show’s New York Comedian Con virtual panel, the movie opens with a scene of the apocalyptic environment exactly where cars and trucks ended up still left by the proprietors in the street. Somebody then finds a corpse in what seems like a tunnel. Just one of the characters is later on found studying an posting in a newspaper which talks about “the stop” of the environment.

Whoopi Goldberg‘s 108-year-previous Mother Abigail then would make an appearance. The fate of humanity’s salvation rests with her. Somewhere else in the trailer, Alexander Skarsgard‘s character Randall Flagg comes out a nefarious pressure of nature whilst sporting a sinister smile and a denim jacket.

Also highlighted in the trailer is Frannie Goldsmith, performed by Odessa Young, who seems to be frightened in the middle of a cornfield. James Marsden‘s Stu Redman, in the meantime, is addressing a group of men and women as he talks about the “uncertain moments” they are all in.

“The Stand” is centered on Stephen’s 1978 novel of the similar title. It facilities on the survivors of a plague who are caught in a struggle amongst superior and evil. They are split into two camps: individuals who comply with the 108-year-previous Mother Abagail, and individuals who align with Randall Flagg, the Dark Man.

The cast also contains Jovan Adepo as Larry Underwood, Amber Read as Nadine Cross, Owen Teague as Harold Lauder, Henry Zaga as Nick Andros, Brad William Henke as Tom Cullen and Irene Bedard as Ray Bretner.

Created by Josh Boone and Ben Cavell, the apocalyptic collection is executive developed by Taylor Elmore, Will Weiske, Jimmy Miller, Roy Lee and Richard P. Rubinstein. Meanwhile, Jake Braver, Jill Killington, Owen King, Knate Lee and Stephen Welke deliver.

“The Stand” is scheduled to premiere on CBS All Entry on December 17.
