The 2020 Bermuda Biennial opens to the public on Saturday, March 7, with the exhibition offering “Bermudian artists the possibility to have interaction in an internationally juried process overseen by set up curators.”
A spokesperson said, “The exhibition, sponsored by Bacardi Minimal, is a key platform for the modern art scene in Bermuda. Commenced in 1994 by the Bermuda Countrywide Gallery, this year marks the 14th iteration of the Biennial and its continuing representation of the vitality and creativity of local artists.
“As a member of the Global Biennial Affiliation, this critical exhibition delivers Bermudian artists the possibility to have interaction in an internationally juried process overseen by set up curators.
“The 2020 Bermuda Biennial is co-curated by Melissa Messina, an Unbiased Curator and Curator of the Mildred Thompson Estate and previously the Interim Govt Director and Senior Curator of The Savannah University of Artwork and Structure Museum of Artwork, Savannah, GA and Kimberli Gant, the McKinnon Curator of Modern & Modern Artwork at the Chrysler Museum, formerly the Mellon Doctoral Fellow in the Office of Arts of World wide Africa at the Newark Museum, in Newark, NJ.

Hunt, Christina Hutchings, Cynthia Kirkwood, Jon Legere, Sidney Mello, No person, Bryan Ritchie , Edwin Smith, Flurina Sokoll, Emma Steele, Andrea Sundt, Michael Walsh and Catherine White.”
