Vancouver Japanese Canadian organization honours Hinamatsuri (Girl’s Day) with vintage kimono sashes

Although Global Women’s Day is on Monday (March 8) and March is Women’s Heritage Month, those people situations coincide with a hundreds of years-old celebration in Japan focused to girls.

Hinamatsuri, or Girl’s Day (also recognized as Doll’s Day), is held on March 3 that dates again to the 1600s in which dolls ended up shown to honour the Japanese royal spouse and children.
